Reading
Corner
The Art of Game Design ~ Jesse Schell
Excellent book to introduce game design. With a mixed approach between practical and theoretical, the author uses the lens system to point out where to ask the right questions and find possible problems or opportunities during the game development.
Level Up ~ Scott Rogers
Great complement to the previous book, with an approach that focuses on the practical part of game design. This book talks about the important components of the most popular game types, bringing frequent problems and their existing solutions, including some more creative versions.
Game Programming Patterns ~ Robert Nystrom
Great complement to the book Design Patterns , bringing revisions of the patterns in a way directed to the differentiated architecture of the games.
Excellent read and easy to understand, with tha addition of having a free online version.
